The past few days here in Austin have been so beautiful! We have seen lots of sunshine with cool breezes and with the extra hour of daylight (thanks, DST!), we’ve been enjoying a lot of time outside. As much as I love being outside, I am embarrassed to say that my outdoor spaces are not as ready for spring as we are. In fact, my outdoor spaces are downright ugly!
Fortunately, Wayfair.com, one of my favorite places to find amazing furniture and decor at incredibly reasonable prices, is having their annual outdoor season sale! I have had so much fun shopping their sale and I’ve put together a couple of mood boards to give you an idea of what I am fantasizing about doing to my front porch and back patio.

On the front porch, I want to add a place to sit and relax. I can just see me and my littles sitting out there watching the world go by. I just love the copper mailbox and the cute little welcome mat, too. I love how these little touches add big personality to an otherwise bland front porch!

In my backyard I really want to capitalize on our large patio space by creating different “zones.” I will have a dining zone on one end and a seating area on the other. In the yard, I’m going to install a raised bed garden to start growing some delicious veggies! And don’t forget to add the firepit for those spring evenings that still have a bit of chill in the air.

I can’t wait to refresh my outdoor spaces to make them more inviting and comfortable. As much as I love me some winter, I have to admit I am ready to bask in the sunshine and swing in my hammock on a nice warm day! Doesn’t a good book, a hammock, and some lemonade sound amazing right now? Yay, spring!

Very nice stuff. Can’t wait to fix our new big balcony that my husband build last summer. We didn’t do much besides from putting our outdoor spa tub on there, but this year I think we will get some outdoor furniture and flowers and make it more nice for the summer 🙂
Here in Texas, we are completely ready for spring weather! This is great inspiration for me as I’m currently trying to figure out how to decorate my back patio. I can’t wait to be able to read my book and sip on coffee in the morning outside!
I’ve always wanted a swing chair. Hopefully one day I’ll have a garden big enough 😀

We don’t have any plans right now to change up our outlook look. We just got another 4-6 inches of snow yesterday, so it’s hard to think about warm weather. I do hope to do some sort of improvements to our vegetable garden this year though, just not sure what.
This is a time I hate NYC living – no outdoor space – unless the fire escape counts! haha. But I love all of these ideas and dream of the day I have a big porch / sunroom 🙂
