I’ve been a busy little bee this week trying to get my house decorated for Christmas. It’s one of my very favorite things to do and while I have to admit this year it’s hard to get in the Christmas spirit, the act of decorating is soothing to my soul.
If you’ve been following my blog for more than five minutes, you’ll know that my style gravitates toward French country. This does not change with the holidays! I tend to use a lot of whites, gold, champagne and silver tones. Traditional reds and greens are hard to find in my Christmas house!
French country Christmas style is very heavy on natural elements (greens and wood), as well as white and silver tones. The style exudes simple elegance. It’s not overly flashy or fancy, though. Here are some of my most favorite images from around the web that have given me inspiration and I hope you love them too!

Do you like this style of Christmas decor or are you more of a traditionalist?
I love the softness and simplicity of the colors you use. It is cozy, elegant, and festive! Just stunning!!!
I love French Country too! That’s actually my mom’s favorite decorating style! She would love these (I love them too, but she would love them even more! Haha).
Wow, this looks amazing. I’m such a fan of light and soft colors. I wish had the talent for home decor and interior design.
These are all beautiful! French Country is my favorite. I have such an eclectic mix of Christmas decor. I would love to start all over with my decor, but that’s not in the budget just yet. 😉
Great inspiration here! I just love it! I’m not much for a ton of red either!
All of these are so beautiful! Such great inspiration! Thank you for sharing!
This decor is SOOO beautiful. I love it!!!
Would love to know where you found your Mother Mary statue. The colors are so soft & beautiful together. Would like to transition towards this in my home. Thank you. Merry Christmas
