I know, I know. Decorate your bedroom and bathroom for fall? Seems like a bit of overkill, doesn’t it? For some, it may be, but I am a firm believer in making all of your spaces feel cohesive. If your living room is decked out in pumpkins and throws but your bedroom still showcases summer linens and florals, you kind of lose a bit of that seasonal vibe. Personally, I want to feel fall in every room of my house (even if it doesn’t feel like it outside yet!). 

Decorating for fall in your bedrooms and bathrooms is actually very easy and can be accomplished by just a few strategic decor touches. Below are some beautiful examples of fall bedroom and bath decor. I hope they are as inspiring to you as they are to me!

Now is the time to change your bed linens from lightweight to slightly more heavy and textured. Add a beautiful coverlet and layer a plaid throw or chunky knit blanket. There is nothing more comforting and inviting than a nice, soft, warm bed that you can climb into at night. For me, the more blankets and pillows, the better!

One of the easiest ways to add touches of fall to your bedroom is by adding fall florals and pumpkins to your surfaces like bedside tables or dressers. I love the pop of color in the white vase on this beautiful beside table…and we all know my affinity for white pumpkins!

I love plaid. I would have plaid in my house at all times if my husband would let me. It must be my Scottish roots! Whatever the case, I adore adding plaid throws to all our beds, on the backs of chairs or stacked in baskets in our bedrooms. Nothing says, “Welcome Fall!” like a beautiful plaid throw!

Decorating a bathroom for fall needs to be a simple affair. Since bathroom counters are pretty busy places, you don’t want to overwhelm the space with decor. Add a pretty tray with a few pumpkins and some greenery and you’re in business. Simple is best, and often it’s the prettiest!

Decorating your bedrooms and bathrooms for fall shouldn’t take you very long. Adding a simple vignette to your dresser or side table and a few throws here and there should be the perfect touch! And the bathroom is even easier! Add a few pumpkins, maybe add a special fall scented hand soap and you’re done! Whether you decide to go all out or add simple touches, having a hint of fall in your bedrooms and baths will make you feel all the more festive for the season!
