When we moved into our new house I was immediately overwhelmed by the amount of boob lights in our house. Are you familiar with a boob light? Let me enlighten you:
You’ll never look at these lights the same, will you? Me either. That’s why they’re not welcome in my house. Even my dining room light fixture is a glorified version of a boob light. When we closed on the house and did the walk-through, my husband and I walked into the dining room and I told him, “This chandelier has got to go.” He gave me a look and said, “Why? What’s wrong with it?” I said, “It looks like a giant boob.” A slow smile creeped over his face and he said, “Huh. That’s probably why I like it.”
Needless to say, we are getting rid of the giant boob light.
I don’t know why boob lights are so popular and readily available, but they are frowned upon in this establishment. So I’ve come up with a list of some gorgeous French country style options for flush mount light fixtures that don’t break the bank!

Aren’t those fixtures so much better than a boob light? Your options don’t stop there, either. Here are a few more of some incredible flush mount light fixtures:
You really can’t go wrong with replacing all your boring boob lights with any one of these beautiful fixtures. No room is too insignificant either; I will be replacing every single boob light, even the one in my closet and laundry room! You’ll be amazed what a change it will make in your space!
haha I am dying over the boob light!! not a fan either!
I HATE boob lights! They’re probably so popular because they’re cheap!
Oh noooo they do look like boobs! I can never unsee that! If we didn’t live in base housing I’d totally be replacing ours ASAP, and I LOVE the star-shaped one!!
Oh my word, this made me laugh so hard. I am so sick of the ‘boob’ style lights, like really they do not have any class. I love your suggestions and will definitely check them out further.
You’ve been in my house, right? These lights are all over the place–and because the people who lived here before us bought them to stage the house, they are new…and the hubby doesn’t want to change them. Might have to do a little arm twisting now!
Oh my goodness I am dying! I wasn’t sure if I had read the title right and then when I saw the picture with an arrow saying ‘nipple’ I nearly spat out my drink. Thanks for brightening my day haha!
