Spring is in full swing here in Texas! The flowers are blooming, the trees are exploding with fresh green leaves and everyone is sneezing up a storm. If spring isn’t blooming where you live yet, hang in there, I promise it’s coming!
One of my favorite ways to decorate for spring is by freshening up my front porch. Just like in the fall, I thing a spring front porch should be welcoming and inviting. Your front porch should make people want to come inside for a glass of lemonade and a chat, don’t you think?
Sadly, I am not able to decorate my porch for spring this year because we are starting to pack up and move. As much as I’d love to pretty up my front porch, it doesn’t make much sense when we’re leaving in a few weeks. Nevertheless, I can’t help but crawl the internet in search of spring porch inspiration, so I’ve rounded up 9 of my favorite easy ways to dress up your porch for spring!

Front porch sittin’. I love everything about this porch. The white rockers are so cozy and inviting, the black shutters provide contrast with the white house, and the potted plants add color and texture to the space. I also love the vintage croquet mallets in the wire basket. I could sit on this porch all day.

Painted doors. One of the easiest, but most impactful, ways to pretty up your porch is to paint the front door. I love this soft gray-blue door with the brass hardware and vintage knocker. It provides a pop of fresh color against the house and brightens up the space.

Vintage garden. The small table with plants, herbs, old bottles and terra cotta pots is a brilliant way to add a spring touch to your porch. I also love the straw hats and the grain sack pillow on the rocking chair. This would be such a relaxing spot to sit and wait for visitors to arrive!

Shade-loving plants. Boston ferns are a perfect plant to use in front porch decor. These plants are shade loving and they grow fast and are very hardy. I also love the contrast of the green of the ferns against the navy of the painted door on this porch. So pretty!

Galvanized buckets. If you like having plants on your porch, galvanized buckets are a great option for using as planters. I love the way they look with the green of the plants and they’re relatively easy to find. Careful that you don’t use them in an area that gets direct sun because the metal can get very hot and roast the roots of your plants!
Personalized welcome mat. A nice welcome mat is a must on your front porch! I love mats with fun, bright colors for spring, but a personalized welcome mat is a staple that will last you through all four seasons. Personalized mats are really cheap and easy to make, too (this blogger shows you how she made her mat in a tutorial!).
Hello, neighbor. I just love this bright “hello” sign on this blogger’s porch! This is a really easy but super cute way to add charm and color to your front porch. You can find these wood cut-out signs at most craft stores. Spray it with your favorite color and you’re in business!

Simple seating. This simple bench is a perfect way to add easy, rustic seating to a small porch area. Using landscaping bricks and some reclaimed wood is a brilliant way to get this look on a tight budget.

Outdoor living. I think this is my dream set up. Someday I will have a porch big enough to house an outdoor daybed. I just love that this set up is like an outdoor living room. I also adore the pops of color with the bright flowers, pillows, and the sky blue ceiling. The hanging plants are an added bonus. And, look, they’ve even prepared our lemonade!
There’s nothing more charming than a bright and welcoming spring porch! I hope these ideas have inspired you to pretty up your own porch this spring season!
What is your favorite way to dress up your porch for the spring?
This post makes me want to get a swing!
Right?! How dreamy is that?
I love every one of these ideas! Especially the galvanized buckets!!????????
Thanks, Mary! I love them too!
Stunning inspiration! I painted our front door this year, and it made such a difference. I still need some wreaths for seasons besides Christmas.
I love the white rocking chairs
All of these ideas are so gorgeous, its impossible to pick just one! Now if my house just had a porch. . .
Gah! I feel your pain! Our new house won’t have much of a front porch but we’ll have a great back patio. I plan to make that a bit of a haven for us.
These are all so cute! I am the WORST at decorating but I love taking inspiration from others!
Beautiful ideas!! I love the big hello sign!
